Discover the surroundings of Casa Riggi

Agliano Terme

Agliano Terme is a small village of about 1650 inhabitants in the province of Asti. Although it is not a mass tourist destination, it retains an authentic and lively charm, thanks in part to the local "Barbera Agliano" association, which organizes events such as festivals, "Sunday in the Cellar," "Easter Walk," and "Barbera Unplugged."

In the center of the town, near the bakery, delicatessen, butcher's shop, tobacco shop, coffee shop, wine shop and some quality restaurants, there is also a bank, pharmacy and hairdresser. Agliano also boasts a lookout tower: by climbing about 60 steps, one can enjoy a magnificent 360-degree view of the surrounding hills.

The atmosphere in Agliano is relaxed and welcoming, and it is surrounded by excellent wine producers that you can visit for a unique experience. In addition, hiking and biking trails start directly from the village. We are happy to offer suggestions or guide you along the trails!

Markets

Nestled in the hills of Monferrato, Agliano Terme offers not only relaxation and wellness thanks to its thermal waters, but is also the perfect starting point for exploring an area rich in history, traditions and authentic flavors.

Pool or sea

About 1.5 km from Casa Riggi, a pleasant walk through the vineyards will take you to Le Fonti International Camping Campground, where the pools are open from mid-May to mid-September. It's a great option for a day (or half-day) of relaxation in the modern outdoor pools, with one pool for adults and one for toddlers. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented, and there is a pizzeria/snack bar on site.

If you have more time on your hands, we recommend a visit to the Ligurian Riviera, about a 1.5-hour drive away, where you can find wonderful places for activities, shopping, or just relaxing.

Golf

If golf is among the activities you want to do in Piedmont, you have come to the right place! There are several golf courses to choose from in our area, and some of the best are within a short distance.

For example, Margara Golf Club and Cherasco Golf Club are easily reached in less than a 45-minute drive from Casa Riggi, offering a perfect experience for golf lovers.

Truffle Festival

In the fall, don't miss the opportunity to participate in a truffle hunt with a local expert and his dogs. After the search, you can enjoy white truffle dishes, an authentic and unique experience.

For truffle lovers, the International Truffle Festival in Alba, held from October to December, is a must-see event, with many events dedicated to this precious product and a vibrant atmosphere that enlivens the town.

Shopping

If you love shopping, Piedmont has a lot to offer! You can find excellent opportunities in Asti, Alba, Nice and Canelli, but if you are looking for something more extensive, Milan is easily accessible. Turin, even closer, offers a wide variety of stores.
For those looking for more affordable prices, outlet stores are an ideal choice. The Serravalle outlet, about an hour from La Maggiorina, is a vast center with famous brands and restaurants.
For big cities, we recommend public transportation from Asti, as driving and parking in Milan or Turin can be complicated.

A short distance from our facility, you will find a soccer field, a volleyball court, and a basketball court. About 1.5 km away is Le Fonti International Camping, with two swimming pools, one for children, and other sports activities.

For those looking for water parks, we recommend Astilido in Asti or others nearby. For a thrilling adventure, try the Lake Maggiore Zipline (about a 2-hour drive away) or visit the Murazzano Safari Park.

Nearby cities, such as Turin, offer entertainment such as the Bounce Inc, the Auto Museum, and the Egyptian Museum. And for soccer fans, a visit to the stadiums in Turin or Milan is a must!
